Another reason to make a custom feed of my blog

Want another reason to set up your own custom feed of my blog? Quite simple: you can get the thumbs buttons for my posts, right in the feed. And if you sign up for your own thumb set, you can do the same too for your feeds as well. Just in case you want a quick rundown on how to use my free thumb hosting:

  1. Register on my site (if you haven’t done so already).
  2. Log in on my site (if you haven’t done so already).
  3. Read the aThumbsFAQ.
  4. Create a thumb set at aThumbs and follow the directions given in the FAQ.

When you click on the button, a form is submitted. When it returns it redirects you to whatever was in the referrer field. In the case of the version of NetNewsWire Lite that I’ve got lying around, that isn’t very much – and so you’ll get a nice cryptic page. However, if you’re using eyesbotea (formerly afraabr), or any other web-based RSS aggregator, then the referrer information will be fine and sufficient for you to go back to the RSS item viewing page that you were on.

(In case you haven’t picked up on it folks, I really do want you to register on my site because there is a whole bunch of nifty stuff that I’m planning on sharing with you that, in order for it to work, needs to know who you are. So please, give it a try.)
